Bruce Jenner Plans Transgender Broadcast, Causing Rift With Kardashians And Kris Jenner: How He Told Them
Bruce Jenner has been increasingly candid about his transition from male to female, but now Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian are also speaking out about the challenges that his public changes, including a nose job, have brought for the sisters and their mom Kris Jenner, reported People.
The increasing divide between Bruce and the rest of the family began when Jenner revealed that he is transgender, said an insider.
“The whole family went through a rough patch. It’s naturally a difficult thing to process and work through.”
Add the shock to the siblings that Bruce and Kris were divorcing, and the Kardashians and Jenners had plenty to process.
During their 23 years of married life that played out on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and in the tabloids, Kris and Bruce increasingly were at odds. The duo bickered about issues from what Rob Kardashian should do with his life to when to head off to (and then leave) a party.
And beyond the separation, all of the family members are divided over the news that Bruce wants to publicize his transition through a documentary series along with a TV interview with Diane Sawyer, said a production insider.
“The divorce caused a divide, but Bruce’s decision to share his transition has caused an even greater divide.”
However, Bruce feels that he has hidden his authentic self for more than 50 years. While Kris played the role of “momager” for the Jenners and Kardashians, Bruce remained in the background.
“[Bruce was] taking a backseat in his own life,” said a source.
And now that he’s in charge, Jenner is making more changes, including a nose job and hormone treatment, as the Inquisitr reported.
Both the plastic surgery and the therapy are intended to give Bruce a more feminine appearance. He previously underwent cosmetic surgery to smooth his Adam’s apple.
So how did Jenner tell the family about his plans? He kept it simple, focusing on his goal of becoming a woman, reported Page Six.
“It wasn’t a jaw-dropping conversation,” revealed an insider.
“He literally started the conversation with, ‘Hey guys, I’m becoming a woman. But I’m sure you probably already figured that out.’ He told the kids that if anybody asks, they are just to respond, ‘Bruce is in a very good and happy place.'”
Will that announcement to the family actually be aired on Keeping Up With The Kardashians? Yes, claimed the inside source. It’s set to be shown on Episode 13.
In addition, Jenner is gradually instigating more changes.
“He will wear women’s clothes more around the house and will gradually make little changes in a more public manner,” revealed an insider. “He feels so much better to be in control of his body and life.”
