Kandi Burruss Goes After Phaedra Parks: Parks Wasn’t A Good Friend Either
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss was once very close to Phaedra Parks, and the two often bonded. However, when Phaedra Parks had to deal with her husband going to jail, she was shocked that Kandi was not reaching out to her. In fact, she was shocked that Burruss was too consumed with her own life to give her a call to see how she was doing.
As shown on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Parks told NeNe Leakes that she had been the only person reaching out for support. While many assumed that Kandi Burruss would be doing so, Parks was hurt that Kandi had been so absent. Instead of telling Burruss what she was feeling, Kandi was left out of the dark. And she was shocked when she learned the truth.
According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss is now revealing that she was shocked to hear Phaedra’s feelings as she was watching the show. But instead of feeling bad about it and rushing to apologize, Kandi points out that Phaedra wasn’t a good friend to her either at the time.
“I had a lot going on at the time,” Kandi Burruss reveals about her own life, adding, “Yes, I was upset about my play being cancelled, but I also had some personal family things that I was dealing with as well. I wasn’t upset about the money. There was a whole bunch of stuff that was going on with me that she didn’t take the time to ask about either. And now just because I didn’t text her every day, I’m a bad friend.”
Of course, Parks was too caught up in her own drama to deal with Kandi Burruss’ marital problems. But it is odd for her to assume that Kandi automatically knows everything that is happening. Clearly, she had no idea as she was shocked when she watched Sunday’s episode. Kandi Burruss admitted on Twitter that she had no idea Parks felt that way.
As for Phaedra Parks, she doesn’t seem to harbor any hurt feelings. She adds that she wasn’t surprised to see Kandi upset, as they are close friends. According to the Inquisitr, she hopes that she and Burruss can continue to be friends.
“I don’t think Kandi and I have any issues. I was just disappointed she wasn’t more present during the time I really needed her. Kandi is a good person and I will always love her,” she revealed.
