The Whitney Houston autopsy is complete and authorities are now waiting on a final toxicology report to determine if the singer was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of her death.
Fans of the singer hoping for a quick turn around on those tests will be holding their breath for quite some time, authorities say it will take 4-6 weeks.
While the cause of death has not been confirmed various sources are reporting that Whitney fell asleep in the bath tub or lapsed into unconsciousness where she drowed.
Police turned over every square inch of the singers Beverly Hills hotel and rumors point to various prescription drugs found with no sign of illegal drugs.
It’s believed that Whitney was drinking the night before she was found and authorities believe a deadly combination of Xanax and alcohol may have led to her demise.
Reports are also circulating that on-again off-again boyfriend Ray-J raced to her side after the singer was rushed to a nearby hospital.
