The Real Housewives of New Jersey season seven may include a former NFL star’s wife. According to the latest season seven gossip, Tiki Barber’s wife, Traci Lynn Johnson, is reportedly in talks to join the Bravo show.
“Yes, the rumor is true. Traci is down the road with the production company. She and Tiki moved to NJ a few years ago,” a source told E! News on March 13. “They are next door neighbors with Snooki.”
Although the majority of The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast has stayed the same for the last several seasons, producers are aiming to make the upcoming seventh season much different than previous years.
“When producers approached Traci, they told her they were revamping the show. Their goal is to include more well-known names and make New Jersey look more glamorous, like the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
In addition to Johnson, Hala Kerik, the wife of former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, and Amber Sabathia, the wife of Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia, were also approached to help revamp The Real Housewives of New Jersey . However, E! ‘s source confirmed both women ultimately chose to turn the show down.
As producers attempt to make The Real Housewives of New Jersey “more fun and more glam,” they have contacted a few new wives, and reportedly, a few returning members, as well.
On The Real Housewives of New Jersey season six, Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Nicole Napolitano, Amber Marchese and Teresa Aprea starred as official housewives, while Jacqueline Laurita and Kathy Wakile appeared in recurring roles.
“It’s still early in the process. They’re meeting with a lot of women and trying to determine what ensemble will work best for the show.”
While The Real Housewives of New Jersey producers may not decide on an official cast in the near future, they are reportedly fairly certain that Johnson would be a good addition to the show.
“Although Traci isn’t officially locked down yet, it looks like it’s going to happen.”
As the Inquisitr reported at the end of last year, producers were considering shelving The Real Housewives of New Jersey until after Giudice’s prison release in early 2016.
“Bravo is very nervous to do the show without Teresa,” a show insider explained to Radar Online . “They fear that without her, the show will not be as big of a success.”
At that point, The Real Housewives of New Jersey producers were said to be considering putting the show on hold, but now that there are new wives possibly coming into play, who knows what the future will hold?
