Jessica Simpson Opens Up About Those Steamy Instagram Photos

Jessica Simpson is in love with her husband Eric Johnson, and she isn’t afraid to show the world.

The actress/singer opened up about a steamy photo session they shared on Friday’s episode of Today, telling Savannah Guthrie that marriage has been “unbelievable” for the couple.

“Those kind of happen sometimes,” Simpson said of the Instagram pics. “I am not shy to be in love with my husband! Marriage is unbelievable. I couldn’t be more in love, and he’s given me to of the best blessings I could possibly imagine. Having a boy and a girl, I’m blessed. They inspire me.”

Despite all the PDA, rumors began circulating around the web last month that Simpson and Johnson were attending marriage counseling after an incident in which she got upset about him talking to another woman.

“The fuss all began during a romantic date night at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood, California, after Simpson became upset with Johnson for talking to another woman at the restaurant. But though she was angry at the time, the source says Simpson eventually presented counseling as a way for the couple to learn how to better resolve their conflicts,” said a source at OK! Magazine.

Simpson has been busy lately as dean speaker for Teen Vogue‘s Fashion University and says that, as a fashion designer, it’s important for her to relate to many different women.

“I’ve been all kinds of sizes and… being a mom, I feel like people just can relate to me. I feel like it’s very important for people to be able to relate to someone that is a fashion designer,” Simpson said on Today.

Being a mother has been very important to the star, although she says that her husband is just as involved — if not more so — in the kids’ lives as she is.

“I really do feel like I’m in the best place of my life. It’s just comfortable. I’m married to the best man I know—well, my son might be second best. He’s not a man yet! My husband is the best father. He’s so involved, and I mean, he does more than me!” Jessica Simpson said.
