On Friday morning, the day after filming night one, Mike tweeted that the decision over whether Britt or Kaitlyn will be the official Bachelorette for the rest of the season now belongs to the men.
Gotta admit, it was very strange to see two Bachelorettes… Tough decision now belongs to the 25 guys.

Britt is certainly excited about possibly starting on her journey to love. After it was announced on The Bachelor: After the Final Rose that the next season of The Bachelorette will show both Britt and Kaitlyn and they came out on the stage holding hands, Britt posted a snapshot of the moment to her Instagram page. She included a message of united sisterhood with Kaitlyn.
“I just want to say I am honored and excited to come out holding hands with my friend & co-bachelorette, beautiful @kaitlynbristowe!! #sisterwives #round2.”
On Tuesday, Britt told her Instagram followers that she’s off to film the new season and asked people to wish her luck.
While Kaitlyn has been more quiet about having to share the spotlight with Britt, the day after the After the Final Rose episode, Kaitlyn did thank Jimmy Fallon for having her and Britt on his talk show and noted that there are two Bachelorettes.
During an interview with People after the big announcement, Kaitlyn reiterated that having to compete with Britt is “not ideal.”
“I’m trying to be really positive about the situation. It’s definitely not ideal, but it’s an incredible opportunity. And if the outcome is me meeting the guy I spend the rest of my life with, then it is all worth it.”
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, host Chris Harrison defended the show’s decision to have both Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson be on the next Bachelorette.
“On my Twitter feed, I get absolute avid fans for both. They both have rabid fans, but it’s almost mean out there. The responses today have been just that. Some are happy, but I’m not sure what is so polarizing about these girls that’s driving everybody crazy — which makes me realize we made the right choice.”
