The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Kim Richards has a lot of drama happening to her on-screen, but according to a new report, there’s even more happening for Richards off-screen.
In the latest report regarding the Real Housewives star, a source claims one of her four children is currently receiving mental care at a psychiatric facility.
The unidentified child of the Real Housewives star “was admitted over the weekend to a psychiatric facility in the South Bay area of Los Angeles,” Radar Online reported on March 12.
Richards is the mother of Kimberly, 21, Chad, 22, Whitney, 24, and Brooke, 29.
“This wasn’t an involuntary psychiatric hold, but it came very close. [The individual] has battled with depression for years and it’s unclear at this point how long they’ll have to remain in the hospital. This is obviously very, very hard for Kim.”
According to the report, the Real Housewives star is struggling with her child’s mental health issues, and those around her are even more concerned about her well-being. Between what’s happening with her child and the drama between her and her sister, Kyle, Richards is under a lot of stress.
“To say people are concerned about Kim is an understatement. She is extremely vulnerable right now and is just existing on autopilot.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim and Kyle Richards’ relationship is said to be on the verge of being damaged beyond repair following the fifth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills .
On the show, the Real Housewives were often seen at odds over their own relationship, as well as Richards’ relationship with Brandi Glanville. While the Real Housewives stars started off the season in an okay place, the drama between them began to climax after their awkward run-in at Eileen Davidson’s poker party. During the evening, Richards admitted to taking her husband’s pain medication and attempted to leave the party with Glanville. When Kyle tried to come after her, she and Glanville ended up in a physical altercation.
During another episode, the Real Housewives stars got into a screaming match after Richards showed up to Kyle’s gay mixer with Glanville in tow, knowing the two had just gotten into a fight.
Since then, things have been strained, to say the least.
In an interview with TMZ earlier this week, a source claimed Richards feels Glanville has been more supportive of her than Kyle, and said Kyle did not agree.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
