Fans of The Walking Dead got a short break from misery and death during last week’s episode, but this week isn’t going to be all cookies and spaghetti. The spoilers ahead reveal the names of two characters who will meet their demise this Sunday, so don’t read ahead if you don’t want to know their identities.
According to the Spoiling Dead Fans , there will be two major deaths during “Spend.” However, many fans are actually applauding these losses on the Spoiling Dead Facebook page. The first to go will be Deanna’s son Aiden, the d-bag who almost got Tara killed during a trial run. He’ll put the poor girl in danger again shortly before he loses his life.
Aiden will shoot a zombie that’s carrying a grenade on its body, and the resulting explosion will impale Aiden on a pole. The the undead friends of the “bombie” will then proceed to eat the skewered creep alive. Tara will also be hurt by the grenade blast, but Eugene will swoop in and save his unconscious friend from meeting the same fate as their foolish leader.
Most Walking Dead fans will probably cheer when they see Aiden meet his grisly end, and they might not consider his death a “major character death” because he’s had so little screen time. However, it could have a huge effect on the future of Alexandria — Rick Grimes’ group might face some serious repercussions after Deanna learns that her son is dead. The community leader might find it suspicious that Aiden was the only one killed during the run, and it will definitely look bad that he met his demise so soon after the survivors’ arrival in Alexandria. Deanna might blame the survivors for her son’s death, and there’s a very high likelihood that she won’t be so kind to them from now on.
The second character death is the one that will upset the most Walking Dead fans, but quite a few TSDF commenters are actually pretty happy about it. During a run, Glenn and Noah will get trapped in an office building. This is where Beth Greene’s hospital friend will meet his end.
“Noah gets trapped behind a glass wall of sorts and Glenn watches as Noah’s face is pressed up against the glass while some dirty walker fingers go into his mouth and his cheek is ripped apart.”
Many Walking Dead fans don’t like Noah because they believe he’s partly to blame for the deaths of Beth and Tyreese. However, Noah was also responsible for getting the survivors to Alexandria — if they hadn’t escorted him home, it’s likely that they never would have met Aaron and Eric.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Noah actor Tyler James Williams has been cast in a Criminal Minds spin-off. After learning this bit of news, many Walking Dead fans assumed that Noah would die in the near future. However, most spoiler followers speculated that he would die in the finale. This is because of something Daryl Dixon actor Norman Reedus said about the finale during an interview with ET Online .
“Wow, bring your Kleenex and you’ll be screaming at your television.”
During an interview with the Hollywood Reporter , Jessie actress Alexandra Breckenridge also teased that there will be one or two deaths during the season finale. Noah won’t be around to die, so which character death(s) will make fans cry?
Tara is one possibility. TSDF reports that she will suffer a pretty serious head injury when that grenade goes off, so she could spend the next few episodes fighting for her life. Or maybe Rick’s love interest Jessie will perish — her Walking Dead comic book death is extremely tragic, and it would be sad to see her go after watching her bring out the warmer side of Rick.
One TSDF commenter speculated that Aaron’s boyfriend Eric will share part of the comic book storyline of a character named Scott. Scott was an Alexandria resident who broke his leg during a run, and he shot off a flare to get help. He later died from a drug-resistant infection. Eric broke his ankle and shot off a flare, so perhaps he’ll share the same fate as Scott. Eric and Aaron obviously love each other very much, so his death would definitely be a tearjerker.
There’s even a slim chance that Daryl Dixon will die. Entertainment Weekly shared The Walking Dead season 5 finale plot synopsis, and it reveals that Norman Reedus’ beloved character might spend the episode fighting for his life.
“In the finale, Daryl finds himself in trouble while out on the run. Meanwhile, in Alexandria, Rick and his group continue to feel like outsiders as danger lurks near the gates.”
The Walking Dead airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. Are you surprised that Noah is going to be killed off so soon, and who do you think will die during the season finale?
