Nazi Swastika Flags Ripped Off California Home, Antisemitic Homeowner Calls That Jewish ‘Terrorism’
When a Nazi swastika flag was ripped off the front of the California home, the antisemitic Sacramento homeowner responded by posting a sign that said, “Terrorism?” But the man who committed the deed says the Nazi flags were a hate crime and was willing to be arrested over destroying the display.
In a related report by the Inquisitr, Jews are warning that plans to have Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf reprinted are too dangerous due to modern anti-Semitism. Even Jewish Americans have felt the spread of anti-Semitism, and a wave of hate crimes against Jewish college students has started.
The unnamed California homeowner replaced the stars in the American Flag with a Nazi swastika. The same was done for the Star of David, which normally adorns Israel’s national flag. The third part of the display was a scarecrow dressed up in military fatigues and Christmas lights.
While many people may consider such a display a hate crime, Sacramento police say it’s protected by the First Amendment. For five months, community leaders and lawmakers pleaded with the homeowner to remove the “offensive” Nazi swastikas from the front of his or her home. State Sen. Marty Block even publicly called out the homeowner.
“[The Nazi swastikas] tarnish the neighborhood and disrespect and dishonor the memory of tens of thousands of brave American soldiers…men and women who died for their country, fighting Hitler’s henchmen who wore that very same symbol,” Block said according to the Los Angeles Times. “He may have the right to leave it up, but that certainly doesn’t make it right. It’s time to remove this disgusting display of racism from our community. It’s time to take it down.”
Enough was enough according to Robert Dixon, who decided to march up onto the lawn and tear the Nazi display to shreds.
“There is a difference between free speech and hate. This is hate,” Dixon told Fox 40, adding that he’s not Jewish. ” I’m just an American. I love my country.”
Dixon realized he was trespassing and vandalizing the homeowner’s property, and the man was even waiting for neighbors to complain and for the local police to arrest him. He knew that may be the consequences of his actions, but he says, “Somebody had to do it.”
Fortunately, Sacramento police reported that there had not been any complaints about Dixon ripping up the Nazi flags, nor was he arrested. The antisemitic homeowner has not yet spoken publicly about what happened, other than leaving a message in bold blue letters that asks, “Terrorism?”
