Improve iPhone 6 Plus Battery Life With Mophie’s New Charge Case
The iPhone 6 is one of Apple’s most popular phones to date, and between the two size variations offered by the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the pair of phones have considerably increased the total sales of the iPhone product since its launch.
Apple CEO Tim Cook, according to AppleInsider, announced that over 700 million of the iOS devices have been sold, with the two most recent phones contributing an impressive sales growth of 49 percent. Interestingly enough, this boost came just before the release of the Samsung Galaxy S6, which is something that Samsung is sure to have noticed.
Consumers have spoken (as they tend to do), and they’ve come to like and greatly support the iPhone 6 Plus, but regardless of what phone a person owns, everyone can relate to that moment where they look at their phone and notice how much (or how little) battery power is left. In the case of the iPhone 6 Plus, the battery life is already superior to that of its predecessors, but some users have reported having issues with it since the release and installation of the iOS 8.2 update.
It’s incredibly convenient, then, that Mophie should release their new battery charge case for the phone; one that just so happens to be fairly decent, too.
Officially known as the Mophie iPhone 6 Plus Juice Pack, the $99 accessory is the perfect recharging solution that doesn’t require a cord or bulky stand. It’s a simple case created to fit around the iPhone 6 Plus like any other case, and while it adds more to the overall thickness and length, it’s not an uncomfortable amount. Best of all, it even comes in three different colors — space gray, silver, and gold — so it can match whatever iPhone 6 Plus a person currently owns.
“Don’t let the thin design fool you. This case provides more than 14.5 hours of talk time and high-impact protection for your iPhone 6 Plus to keep you connected and equipped for the day ahead.”
In their review of the case, GottaBeMobile noted that the Plus-specific case doesn’t offer as much of a power boost as its iPhone 6 counterpart, but it’ll still get the job done. Just don’t use it as the main source of power, because it’ll be used up faster than if the phone itself was charged normally. That said, four LED lights on the back let users know how much juice is left in the case, which can also be turned off and on via a toggle switch. It does double as a protective case, after all, so there’s no need to have the charging part of it on all the time.
The Mophie iPhone 6 Juice Pack seems to be one of the best charging accessories out there right now, and the aforementioned $99 price tag is an affordable price. iPhone 6 Plus owners that have been dealing with battery life issues recently should probably consider getting one, if only because everyone likes keeping their devices in good condition, while no one likes scrambling for a charger at the last minute.
