‘Harry Potter’ Child Star Is All Grown Up, Twitter Goes Crazy
The Harry Potter movies were a massive success and served as the launching pads for many of its stars’ careers, but nobody had paid much attention to one of them, until now and Twitter is going crazy.
We’ve all heard about main stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), and Rupert Grind’s (Ron Weasley) success after the series came to an end. However, not many have heard about what happened with Matthew Lewis, who played the troubled Neville Longbottom and used to look like this in the series.

How things have changed when it comes to all the Harry Potter child stars. The latest revelation is Matthew Lewis, thanks to her co-star Emma Watson, who posted the photo of the actor in military uniform for the BBC 3 comedy, Bluestone 42, which premiered Season 3 on Monday night.
As you can see from this photo, Lewis looks nothing like what he did when he played Neville Longbottom alongside Watson and the rest of the gang.
He looks very serious here but is hilarious in #Bluestone42. Watch @Mattdavelewis on @BBCthree Monday@10pm. So Good!! pic.twitter.com/u6y1mkCyxm

The series is a parody of a very serious topic and it follows the antics of a team of military experts trying to destroy Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) in Afghanistan. The former Harry Potter child star talked to Radio Times about how the series has had to adjust after British troops left the arena.
“Obviously, the withdrawal from Afghanistan has happened and that’s something that we touch on in this series. The operations are coming to an end, they’re winding down – so in this series it’s a lot to do with looking to the future and how they’ll leave the country.”
Matthew Lewis has obviously made quite the impression on Twitter and fans can’t get over how good he looks now (no offense Matthew), compared to his days in Harry Potter. Here are some more reactions.

Towards the end of the movies, when Neville bravely stands up to Voldemort and his army, we could see hints of what Matthew Lewis would become as an adult. It is clear that, even though the former Harry Potter actor has been around, fans seem to be noticing, just now, what a hunky guy he has become.
