‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Carol Traumatizes A Child, Rick Grimes Gets A Kiss
The Walking Dead characters are going to party in Alexandria, and, of course, things are going to get crazy during their first big community shindig. Be forewarned that major spoilers for tonight’s episode of the show are ahead.
During “Forget,” members of the Alexandria community will try to help Rick Grimes’ group forget about how hard life was outside their new walled home. And what better way to do this than with a huge party complete with booze and lots of food? According to the Spoiling Dead Fans, community leader Deanna will throw a welcoming bash at her house, and some of the survivors will have more fun than others.
The Walking Dead fans will be amused to see Abraham wearing a polo shirt, and Rosita will show that she has a girly side by rocking a party dress. Unfortunately, Sasha will have to leave after completely freaking out, but perhaps she’ll be able to work out her issues while taking out walkers as the city’s new sniper. Carol will continue wearing her happy homemaker camouflage, and this will score her a job baking cookies for the party. However, she has ulterior motives — she wants to steal her group’s guns back.
Unfortunately, Jessie’s son, Sam, is such a big fan of Carol’s cookies that he follows her into the gun room like a puppy hoping to score a treat. According to the Spoiling Dead Fans, this is when Carol says something shocking to the poor kid.
“Carol tells him that ‘if he repeats what he saw to anyone he will ‘wake up outside the walls, tied to a tree, screaming while being torn open by walkers.'”
After her encounter with Lizzie, it shouldn’t be that surprising that Carol is no longer worried about sparing kids’ feelings. Still, maybe she could have tried a gentler approach by bribing Sam with more cookies instead.
Fans of The Walking Dead won’t be surprised to learn that Daryl Dixon decides not to attend the party, but they’ll probably be a bit shocked by what he does instead. As the Inquisitr previously reported, he’ll hang out with Alexandria recruiter Aaron. The guys will bond over their love of motorcycles, and Aaron just might offer Daryl a new job that allows him to use his favorite method of transportation.
Back at the party, Rick will actually kiss cute blonde Jessie on the cheek after making eyes at her all night. She just might be the thing that finally makes Constable Grimes decide that staying in Alexandria is the best option for his family. There’s just one problem — she’s a married woman. The Walking Dead will remind viewers of this by making a very obvious reference to The Scarlet Letter. According to the Spoiling Dead Fans, Jessie’s son will mark Rick as a member of the Alexandria community by stamping his hand with the letter “A.” Luckily, it doesn’t sound like this will give Grimes any Terminus flashbacks.
During an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Jessie actress Alexandra Breckenridge hinted that her character’s kids might end up preferring Rick Grimes to their own father. She wouldn’t say whether Jessie’s husband will be physically abusive like he is in The Walking Dead comic books, but there’s obviously something off-putting about his personality.
“Both of Jessie’s children have a lot of anger and resentment around their parents’ relationship and dynamic and we’ll get to see that in later episodes,” Breckenridge revealed.
Alexandra also hinted that Rick Grimes shouldn’t get too comfortable in his new utopia, and she revealed that the Season 5 finale will be a cliffhanger.
“It’s ‘The Walking Dead,’ somebody’s got to die at some point! (Laughs.) You can’t go through five more episodes without at least one or two people dying. The season finale is really intense. I think we’re going to see Rick unravel a little bit more — again, if we haven’t already seen that.”
Perhaps Rick falls for Jessie but ends up losing her just like he does in the comic books. Or maybe he’ll lose another member of his family during the season finale.
Spoilers for tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead may offer a hint about what kind of trouble is on the horizon. Rick Grimes’ group will discover a walker with a “W” scratched into its head while they’re plotting to get their weapons back, and this could be a sign that the same “Wolves” that attacked Wiltshire have their sights set on Alexandria. Like Rick said, it’s a good thing that he and his family are now in town.
The Walking Dead airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
