Bobbi Kristina Brown Murdered? Aunt Claims Police Investigating Boyfriend Nick Gordon
Bobbi Kristina Brown may have been murdered, with the 22-year-old’s aunt claiming that police are investigating her boyfriend Nick Gordon for attempted murder.
The revelation comes from Bobby Brown’s sister and Bobbi’s aunt, Leolah Brown, who said in a Facebook post that Gordon is under investigation for attempted murder. Though Bobbi Kristina Brown remains on life support after being found unresponsive in a bathtub several weeks ago, if she were to die then it is expected to become a murder investigation.
Leolah made the allegations in an open letter to television’s Dr. Phil, who had staged an intervention with Nick Gordon just days before.
“Dr. Phil, With all due respect, Nick Gordon is under investigation for the attempted murder of my niece Bobby Kristina Brown,” the post read.
“We have strong evidence of foul play,” she added. “Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit.”
There has been a great deal of tension between the Brown family and Nick Gordon, who was raised by Whitney Houston and later began dating her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. Gordon has accused the Brown family members of not properly caring for Bobbi or advocating for her care.
Bobbi’s father, Bobby Brown, has in-turn accused Nick Gordon of failing to help police and doctors understand the circumstances that led Bobbi to the hospitalization. Bobby Brown’s lawyer called out Gordon in a letter to Us Weekly.
“Due to Mr. Gordon’s failure to place in tangible form his understanding of the events that lead to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina, there is no reason for any additional discussion with him. It appears that Mr. Gordon did not want his understanding of the facts to be subject to the truthful examination of various experts or Bobby Brown himself,” Christopher Brown of Brown & Rosen LLC wrote.
“Mr. Gordon has every right to remain silent and not share his version of the events with Bobby Brown. We are only concerned with individuals that can help Bobbi Kristina and bring resolution to this investigation. Obviously Mr. Gordon is not as desperate to visit Bobbi Kristina as he wants the world to believe,” the statement continued. “At least not desperate enough to inform Bobby Brown, in writing, what happened to Bobbi Kristina.”
As the attempted murder investigation regarding Bobbi Kristina Brown reportedly moves on, the condition of the 22-year-old remains in question. While some have painted her chances of survival as very bleak, other experts say it is not unusual for someone in her situation to be kept sedated for a long period of time and she could still make a recovery.
