Lauren Scruggs Receives Prosthetic Eye Fitting, Arm May Be Next
It has been just short of two months since blogger and model Lauren Scruggs lost her left hand and left eye in a horrendous plane propeller accident and now the fashion blogger has been fitted for a prosthetic eye.
Mom Cheryl Scruggs wrote about her daughters new eye on her Caring Bridge website on Thursday, telling followers:
“She was fitted and measured. The ocularist carefully painted and shaped the new eye.”
According to Cheryl it was an all day process and
It was an “all day process,” adds Cheryl, and “by 5 p.m., it was done, and her new eye was in place. It is beautiful. Thank you God for providing.”
The 23-year-old owner of fashion blog LOLO may also soon receive a prosthetic arm. Her mother says the first meeting about her new arm will be handled next week.
“Again, another step. bittersweet……” her mom proclaimed.
While Lauren Scruggs has finally been seen out in public her mom says that her daughter is now suffering a new type of pain:
“Lo’s physical pain has subsided a great deal. It is now the emotional pain that is the tough one,” writes Cheryl. “Please continue to pray. Your prayers are so appreciated … More than you know.”
