Donald Trump to Endorse Newt Gingrich

Ex-Presidential candidate Donald Trump is going to endorse Republican hopeful Newt Gingrich at the end of the day sources are saying.

Michael Cohen an adviser to the Apprentice host said in an e-mail t the Wall Street Journal that Trump would be making a major announcement soon. He then said,

“The announcement will pertain to the presidential race,”

Trump was an opponent of Gingrich’s up until last May. He decided at that point to not seek the Republican presidential nomination and suspended his campaign. He recently hinted that he may be ready to make a third party bid if he remained unsatisfied with the Republican field.

Hi announcement that he will be endorsing Gingrich will be a welcome shot in the arm to the Former Speaker’s presidential campaign. He recently got beaten in the very important Florida Primary by Mitt Romney. His standing in the nation is still high though where he is about even with Romney in the polls for who is preferred by Republicans.

The candidates have all headed west for the next primary which is scheduled in Nevada, another important swing state.

Gingrich and Romney are about even in the polls in Nevada but Gingrich is at a fundraising and organization disadvantage to Romney who has effectively been running for president for more than 7 years.
