The “Ravishing Russian” Lana is set to bring her tactics to the big screen sometime in the not-so-distant future.
According to a report today from WWE.com, Lana (real name Catherine Joy “C.J.” Perry) will be starring opposite WWE Hall of Famer Adam “Edge” Copeland in an upcoming WWE Studios and Lionsgate co-production titled Interrogation .
WWE originally announced in 2012 that their film division, WWE Studios, had secured the rights to Interrogation . The film was written by Adam Rodin.
WWE.com has provided a brief synopsis of the film’s plot.
“With a bomb set to go off in Las Vegas on one of the busiest betting days of the year, the story focuses on a brilliant interrogator called in to question the prime suspect. As time runs out, we soon learn there’s an even bigger plan in place for both of them.”
Believe it or not, this will not be Lana’s first role as an actress outside of professional wrestling. Lana received formal training in acting via the Groundling School in Los Angeles, California, which is a school that focuses on sketch comedy and improv. According to her Internet Movie Database ( IMDB ) page, Lana has appeared in several televisions shows, including: The Game , Big Time Rush , The Fresh Beat Band , I.C.I.R.U.S. , and Banshee . As far as feature films go, Lana has been featured in some minor roles. She had a small part in the 2012 smash hit Pitch Perfect , and Lana also will be appearing in the upcoming sequel, Pitch Perfect 2 , set to be released this year. Lana’s IMDB page also notes that she is the leading lady in a yet to be released 2015 film titled Soul , which is an independent film that was filmed in Nashville, Tennessee. Lana is of course credited by her real name, C.J. Perry, in all of these roles.

The news of Lana’s first starring role in a feature film caps off what has been a big week for the WWE diva. Earlier this week, TMZ reported that Lana and real life boyfriend Rusev (real name Miroslav Barnyashev) purchased a 11.56 acre, $644,000 estate in Nashville, Tennessee, complete with a pond, basketball court, and hot tub.
