Bobbi Kristina Brown Turns 22 On March 4: Will Family Spend Birthday In Prayer Or Turn Off Life Support? [Video]

Bobbi Kristina Brown was born on March 4, but rather than an extravagant birthday celebration, her future this year remains uncertain. The daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown has become a medical drama played out in the public court. Since she was discovered unconscious in her home on January 31, Bobbi Kristina has remained in a medically induced coma, dependent on life support measures such as a ventilator to keep her alive, reported MSN.

Physicians recently performed a tracheotomy and changed her medications to end that coma. However, the attempt to evaluate her prognosis ended when she experienced violent seizures.

Contradicting reports that Bobby would turn off her life support on her birthday, Gossip Cop reported that no such plans exist.

Instead, Bobby plans to continue requesting that her physicians keep her on the ventilator and feeding tube that is sustaining her life. Throughout his ordeal, he has emphasized his belief in prayers and miracles, asking the nation to join him in prayer.

In addition to Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina’s cousin Jerod Brown is seeking prayers, according to The Wrap. Jerod is working on a video designed to spread the message.

“On the set of ‘#PrayForBK’ video shoot,” wrote Jerod on social media.

Jerod also is working with Nick Gordon, her boyfriend, who created a T-shirt with that hashtag.

“I thank you all for your continued support!!!! Myself & Nick Gordon want to show our appreciation by sending a personal #PrayForBK T-shirt free of charge!” posted Jerod.

However, both Nick and Jerod have beeen criticized by Bobby Brown. Brown issued statements contesting Gordon’s claims that Nick was banned from the hospital room, instead saying that Nick failed to meet the conditions.

In addition, Bobby asked the media and public to disregard Jerod’s statements, reported Us Weekly. The request was made through Bobby’s attorney Christopher Brown.

“At this time it is requested that the media cease speaking with unauthorized members of the family. The integrity of the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina must remain uncompromised. Various members of the family have provided media interviews, however, none of them are approved visitors to see Bobbi Kristina.”

In particular, Bobby attacked Jerod.

“Jerod Brown aka Jerod Carter aka YF Kennedy, continues to make statements and appear on television, however, he has not had any communication with Bobby Brown or the Houston family. He must be disregarded. Please do not attend any ‘meet and greet’ organized by Jerod Brown as he is unable to provide access to Bobbi Kristina or information on her condition. This is a criminal investigation and we do not need this side show.”

As the Inquisitr reported, both Whitney Houston’s and Bobby Brown’s relatives have admitted that the days and weeks that they have devoted to praying for and worrying about Bobbi Kristina have taken their toll.

“It has been a long month,” summed up one family insider. “The longest month of our whole life.”
