Carrie Underwood’s Baby Arrives: ‘American Idol’ Alum Welcomes Isaiah Michael Fisher With Hubby

Carrie Underwood’s baby boy has arrived and it sounds as if both mom and baby are doing well. Carrie and her husband Mike Fisher had already announced that they were expecting a baby boy, and now the singer has shared a wee sneak peek at her new bundle of joy as she announced his arrival.

Underwood tweeted, “Tiny hands and tiny feet…God has blessed us with an amazing gift! Isaiah Michael Fisher – born February 27.”

The American Idol winner and country superstar managed to keep little Isaiah’s arrival under wraps for several days, a grand feat these days. Though fans will have to hold tight for a full shot of little Isaiah for now, Carrie did share a photo showing the baby’s mouth, chin and hand as he lay bundled up.

Naturally, Carrie’s tweet was retweeted and favorited thousands of times within minutes, and many fans shared their congratulatory tweets in support. Carrie’s husband Mike, who plays hockey for the Nashville Predators, retweeted the post right away as well.

It doesn’t come as much of a surprise to Underwood’s fans that she would break the news of Isaiah’s arrival via social media. That’s how she let the world know she was pregnant as well. As the Inquisitr previously shared, Carrie revealed her pregnancy with a social media post showing her dogs wearing shirts indicating they were about to be a big brother and a big sister.

Shortly after the announcement, Mike had tweeted that he was aiming for Fly for a baby name, as Fly Fisher certainly has a ring to it. Alas, Carrie and Mike stayed away from the Kanye West and Kim Kardashian school of naming their child, going with something much more traditional.

As People noted, Mike and Carrie were first introduced by mutual friends and they got engaged a year later. The two wed in a beautiful ceremony in Georgia in July 2010 and though they waited a bit to move into the realm of parenting, clearly now they felt was the time to take that next step.

Fans are thrilled for Carrie and Mike on the arrival of their baby boy Isaiah Michael Fisher and they hope it won’t be too long before the couple shares more photos of the new addition. It’s been a busy time for Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher, and little Isaiah’s arrival will definitely keep the couple all the more busy. Congratulations to the American Idol and NHL stars on their baby’s arrival!
