‘Sharknado 3’: Ann Coulter To Play Vice President To Mark Cuban As President
Conservative commentator and author Ann Coulter has joined the cast of Sharknado 3, appearing as vice president to Shark Tank star Mark Cuban, who will reportedly play the nation’s chief executive.
The pair are part of an ever growing list of guest stars for the newest installment in the Sharknado franchise, which is quickly becoming a yearly tradition at SyFy. Set to debut in July, Sharknado 3 will take place in Washington, wreaking havoc in the nation’s capitol before unleashing destruction further south along the Eastern Seaboard, in Florida. Coulter will take on the duties of the vice presidency in the film, according to the Hollywood Reporter, while Cuban, who owns the Dallas Mavericks, will appear as the President of the United States.

Sharknado 3 will also see the return of franchise stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid and Cassie Scerbo. According to Deadline, Ryan Newman will be joining the cast as Claudia Sheperd, while Jack Griffo will appear as her friend. *NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick, Bo Derek, Jerry Springer and WWE wrestler Chris Jericho have all previously been announced as guest stars in the third Sharknado, while the appearance of Left Shark has been left to social media speculation.

Last December, Coulter made headlines for controversial comments in which she asserted that many women claiming to have been raped are simply seeking attention. As the Inquisitr previously noted, Coulter appeared on The Lars Larson Show, voicing her opinion that the nation is in the midst of an epidemic of women who are lying about being raped.
Anthony C. Ferrante will return to direct the newest Sharknado, working from Thunder Levin’s screenplay. When the second installment of the popular franchise, Sharknado 2: The Second One, aired last year, it quickly became the most watched original movie in the history of the SyFy network. Sharknado 3 was officially announced in January.

Sharknado 2: The Second One was filled with a variety of guest stars following the runaway success of the first movie. Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick, Billy Ray Cyrus, Perez Hilton, Kurt Angle, Jared from Subway, and Today Show stars Al Roker and Matt Lauer all appeared in the second Sharknado, with varying degrees of participation in the film’s plot.
Though she frequently appears on television, Ann Coulter’s film experience prior to Sharknado 3 is limited to several appearances in documentaries.
