Justin Bieber Fends Off Jeff Ross In Spoof Calvin Klein Ads For Comedy Central Roast
Justin Bieber’s Comedy Central Roast cometh. Accordingly, the third teaser was rolled out by the network on Tuesday, March 3.
Titled “Drums,” the shirtless superstar is seen spoofing his infamous Calvin Klein ads, ably assisted by the comic Jeff Ross, who wears an ill-fitting crop top, jean, and a blonde wig to play the role of the Biebs’ real campaign co-star — model Lara Stone.
The comic will be one of Bieber’s roasters at the March 14 taping in Los Angeles. Hannibal Buress and Roast Master Kevin Hart are also confirmed. The highly anticipated event airs on Comedy Central on March 30 at 10 p.m. ET.
During the latest clip, Justin plays drums and fends off the sexual advances of Ross.
At one point, the comedian whispers to the faux-worried singer, “I want you, Justin,” before adding, “I want to stick my pinky in your a******. I’m a Belieber.”
Comedy Central noted alongside the promo clip, “Warning: The following video features @JustinBieber, @RealJeffreyRoss and a disturbing lack of shirts. #BieberRoast.”
Ross and Bieber are then seen larking about, in much the same way that Saturday Night Live’s Kate McKinnon went after the singer in their infamous takedown of the Canadian’s Calvin Klein ads. However, Ross’ touch in the promo is far less mocking than McKinnon’s.
At the end of the clip, Bieber faux-asks someone off-camera, “Who is this guy?”
To which Ross replies, “Hey man, I’m your worst nightmare. Are you ready?”
No doubt, the alleged Photoshopping controversy — which firestormed over a laughable, so-called “unretouched” shot of Bieber from his Calvin Klein photo shoot — will be ripped in his roast. In reality, the image was discredited as fake, and the website which shared it posted a retraction after the singer’s lawyers sent them a cease and desist letter.
Previous Comedy Central promos saw Ross pretending to ink a massive, bullseye tattoo onto Bieber’s back. Prior to that, the singer was egged for real in a spoof of his egging the house of his former estranged neighbor in early 2014.
One man who possibly won’t be at the roast, despite multiple Twitter pleas from Bieber, is Seth Rogen. Despite the older star’s well-documented, historical hatred for the singer, the Wrap reports Rogen’s representative replied “Seth’s not in town then,” after requests for a comment on tweets posted by the hitmaker on Monday and last week.
Yesterday, Bieber’s tweets resulted in “WeWantSeth” immediately trending on the social network. However, it appears Rogen preferred to do his roasting of his fellow countryman from a distance.
@Sethrogen come on man. Check your voicemail. I took it like a man as u blasted a nervous kid fan of yours (me). Now I’m a man. Roast me!
