Amber Portwood Engaged: Details Of The ‘Teen Mom’s’ Engagement
Amber Portwood is set to come back to MTV and catch fans up on her life later this month. The reality show star rose to fame on Teen Mom, but after a downward spiral that landed her in prison, the show went on hiatus. Now coming back on March 23, the show is set to show Amber’s life and if the previews are any indication, the reality show star has definitely turned her life around.
While she doesn’t yet have custody of her daughter, Leah, she still sees her a lot and it seems Amber is a doting mother. Not only that, Amber is in a new relationship and, according to Radar Online, is already engaged!
“He proposed in November, and she accepted.”
This seems to coincide with the cast storylines that were reported last month. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, TV By the Numbers released a press release which detailed storylines for all the cast members of Teen Mom OG, including Amber Portwood’s.
“Newly released from prison, Amber is trying to raise her daughter Leah with her ex, Gary, who is expecting a baby with his new girlfriend. Meanwhile, she is attempting to navigate a life of sobriety while diving back into the world of dating. The decision to accept an engagement proposal from someone she hasn’t known very long could change her world entirely.”
However, is the engagement just for the cameras? It isn’t uncommon for certain events to be recreated for the cameras and Radar’s source says the engagement may be one of them. The source claims that Amber’s boyfriend, Matt, “doesn’t have that kind of money” to pay for an expensive ring and lamented that the proposal was “all for show.”
Despite this report, Amber Portwood seems very happy with her boyfriend, Matt. The two recently spent some time in New York together, along with the rest of the Teen Mom OG cast, and everyone seemed to get along. The couple went to dinner with Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra and Matt even tweeted with Catelynn’s mom, April. Not only that, but he also seemed to get along with Farrah Abraham.

While most of the cast members have talked about their dismay with the return of Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood has admitted that while some of the things Farrah has done are “shocking,” she doesn’t judge her. Both girls will return for Teen Mom OG.
