WWE: Rusev And Lana Engaged? In Mother Russia, Buy House First, Marriage Second [Photos]

Are Rusev and Lana engaged? WWE wrestlers are well known for keeping their private lives a secret based upon kayfabe rules, but perhaps the biggest hint the WWE universe may ever receive is that the wrestler recently purchased a home with his real-life girlfriend.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, rumors suggest the John Cena Vs. Rusev match at WrestleMania 31 could be used as an excuse for Cena to retire. Assuming that unlikely scenario doesn’t happen, this means that Rusev’s streak will come to an end.

When you see Lana and Rusev out of character they are decidedly American. Rusev’s real name is Miroslav Barnyashev and he hails from Bulgaria, not Russia. Lana’s real name is CJ Perry, and she is actually a native Floridian who graduated from Florida State. At one time, Lana was a cheerleader and she had a successful modeling career.

Rusev and Lana have been dating since their time in WWE NXT, but officially they are not engaged or married as of this publishing. Yet, at the same time, TMZ is reporting the dating couple just signed their names on the title of a new house located in Nashville, Tennessee. That is quite a serious commitment since we haven’t even seen Rusev and Lana’s wedding day, never mind an engagement ring.

The house’s location was supposedly picked based upon it being central to the United States since the couple does a lot of traveling as part of the WWE. If the photos of their new house do not make it clear, they just spent a pretty penny. The house was sold for $644,00, and includes “11.56 acres with a pond, hot tub, basketball court and more.”

So what does a house purchase mean for their dating relationship? On the face of it, nothing. At the same time, Lana has made special appearances on WWE Total Divas, which tends to release episodes that are delayed in relation to story lines televised on a weekly basis via RAW and Smackdown. It’s possible that Rusev and Lana are engaged secretly, but they don’t want to let the news out until Total Divas has a chance to air the engagement announcement. On the other hand, even if they are secretly engaged it may not fit into the official WWE story line of Rusev and Lana, so the real life Miroslav Barnyashev and CJ Perry may keep their relationship hidden from the world.
