Daniel Radcliffe Told Not To Trim Pubic Hair For Ginsberg Role
Daniel Radcliffe’s post-Harry Potter days are looking bright. The 22 year-old recently starred in ‘The Woman in Black’, a supernatural horror movie which has received mostly positive reviews (86% at Rotten Tomatoes) and Radcliffe’s performance has also been highly appreciated. Beyond that, Daniel Radcliffe is set to star in ‘Kill Your Darlings’ as the world-famous poet Allen Ginsberg.
Director, John Krokidas, has told Daniel Radcliffe that there will be scenes of nudity and he wants these to be as realistic as possible. Radcliffe told Heat Magazine:
“I’m comfortable with my body. It’s funny, actually, I’ve just been having a discussion with the guy who’s directing my new project. It might have a bit of nudity and he said, ‘Just to let you know, if you’re getting naked, no landscaping of any kind. This is the ’40s and you’re playing a Jew.’ I was like, ‘Pretty much there anyway, mate! Not a huge amount of maintenance going on.’ I mean, there’s a little bit, obviously, for courtesy.”
The untrimmed pubic talk continued as Daniel Radcliffe revealed his dislike for girls with ‘Brazilians’:
“This is way too much information, but I don’t like girls with nothing down there either. It freaks me out. You have to have something, otherwise it’s f***ing creepy.”
It’s hard to think that the nudity will frighten off Daniel Radcliffe, who’s already appeared nude in the West End and Broadway while starring in ‘Equus’. ‘Kill Your Darlings’ is currently in pre-production and is set to be released in 2013.
