‘Bachelor’ Chris Soules Disses Britt At ‘Women Tell All,’ Gives Kudos To Kaitlyn
Bachelor Chris Soules got to see all of his ex-girlfriends at the “Women Tell All” taping last weekend, including former frontrunner Britt Nilsson. While many fans thought Chris would give Britt the final rose, it turns out that he doesn’t even think she’s a good candidate for the next Bachelorette, let alone become his future wife.
After taping for the “Women Tell All” special wrapped up on Saturday, both Chris and the show’s host, Chris Harrison, spoke to E! about their picks for the Season 11 Bachelorette. Harrison remained somewhat neutral, stating that the decision had not been made yet, but gushed about Britt, saying she is a “sincere and genuine” person.
However, Bachelor Chris didn’t have a single thing to say about Britt becoming the next Bachelorette. Instead he focused his attention on the gal he sent home on the overnight dates last week — Kaitlyn Bristowe.
“I think that, right now, my personal opinion would be Kaitlyn. I think she’s got the right type of energy. She’s funny and she can be entertaining and she’s beautiful. And she’s at a point in her life that she’s really serious about finding love. I think that’s important. When you’re on this, you don’t want someone there that’s there to gain more notoriety. You want someone that’s really sincere.”
The “you want someone that’s really sincere” part of Chris’ pro-Kaitlyn speech seems to be a bit of a diss against Britt, but it’s not the first time the Iowa farmer has questioned her sincerity. In his Bachelor blog on People, Chris stated that he didn’t plan on giving Britt a rose the night she was eliminated — and it wasn’t just because of her outburst on the group date.
“Britt’s over-the-topness wasn’t fully sincere. It started to feel like she was putting on a performance. And the girls’ comments supported that … we did have such a strong connection right off the bat. But truthfully, now I question all of that. Early on I thought she, and our connection, was too good to be true. Turns out it was.”
Although host Chris Harrison has hinted that Britt is still in the running to hand out roses, blogger Reality Steve states that it’s already a done-deal, and Kaitlyn is the next Bachelorette. When will fans know for sure? It’s likely that ABC will announce their next leading lady on the live “After the Final Rose” special that airs right after Bachelor Chris Soules hands out his final rose on March 9.
