Demi Lovato Rushed To ER With ‘Flu-Related Symptoms’ & ‘Breathing Difficulties’

Several sources have learned that Demi Lovato was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday, February 24. After given several tests, it was determined that the singer and actress has a bacterial lung infection, says Us Weekly. She reportedly had “flu-like symptoms” and “difficulty breathing” during the time of her visit.

Lovato’s rep spoke with Us Weekly on Wednesday morning. Her rep says that she’s “feeling much better.” “She returned home soon after her ER visit and is feeling much better today,” Lovato’s rep added.

Demi, 22, was rushed to the emergency room at Providence Tarzana Medical Center in California after having “trouble breathing.” TMZ first reported the story on late Tuesday night. Doctors determined that her symptoms were related to the flu. TMZ also reported that Demi was to remain hospitalized until she fully recovers.

Lovato’s fans, known as “Lovatics,” took to Twitter to show their support for the singer. They included the hashtags #GetWellSoonDemi, which trended worldwide on the social networking site.

According to TMZ, Demi’s health scare comes at a bad time as she’s currently recording her latest album. The new site said she was scheduled to meet with a “big producer” on Tuesday, when she experienced the symptoms and had to be rushed to the emergency room.

Lovato hasn’t taken to Twitter or Instagram to share an update on her condition. Her latest Instagram post includes a selfie in which she blows a kiss to the camera. Lovato wrote, “Snow White ain’t got nothing’ on me…” She revealed the red lipstick from her makeup line, Devonne by Demi.

Demi’s boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama said that he’s looking forward to getting engaged sometime in the future. According to a recent report on the Inquisitr, Wilmer said that he wants to marry the singer one day. Demi, on the other hand, wants to get married as soon as this year.

Lovato also shows love and concern for her fans, including those suffering from mental illness. The Inquisitr also reported that she launched a clothing line called the Hope Dealer Collection. Lovato collaborated with clothing company, Regular Hero, on a line that will help bring awareness and money for mental health.

Demi Lovato has been working tirelessly to become the advocate for mental health and drug addiction. She also scored a major role in the animated film Charming. Some reports have said that Demi’s thinking about getting back into acting. Not to mention, she has a new makeup and skincare line.
