WWE Fastlane was the final big event before the largest wrestling event of the year — WrestleMania 31 . It cemented three matches firmly in place, and gave speculation to a number of others that will likely take place. Let’s look and see what the card for WrestleMania 31 could look like now that Fastlane is in the rear-view mirror.
WWE has confirmed two of them , but there are a few more that are going to end up happening, and the events of Sunday prove it.
WWE World Heavyweight Title: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns
The most obvious is going to be the one that has been solidified due to Roman Reigns defeating Daniel Bryan. That victory gives Reigns a straight road into the WrestleMania main event, and he will take on Brock Lesnar for the title.
Fans may not be thrilled with it, but Reigns is heading to the main event, and he may not end up winning the title. Some have thought that Lesnar would be on his way out after the event and back to MMA, but it’s looking more and more like he may stick around due to health reasons.
Sting vs. Triple H
It was going to happen and we all knew it, but Sting will have his first — and possibly only — match in a WWE ring. When he came out to answer Triple H’s challenge on Sunday night, and he pointed at the big sign, it was on.
It’s hard to imagine Sting losing, but one never knows where they will go from here and how much more he will appear.
Bray Wyatt vs. The Undertaker
This is another match that has been expected for months with Wyatt being built up so much and his strange promos. No-one was quite sure if Undertaker would be able to go though, but this seals it. Wyatt coming out in the casket was a sure sign of it all, and it looks like Taker will be back, but expect this to be his last hurrah.
Now, there are numerous other matches that aren’t quite as solidly in place, but are being rumored and expected. Here are the rumored matches that could take place at WrestleMania 31 , but remember, so much can change in the next month.
- Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton
- Dolph Ziggler vs. Daniel Bryan
- Intercontinental Title – No DQ: Bad News Barrett (c) vs. Dean Ambrose
- No-DQ: John Cena vs. Rusev
- Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
- Tag-Team Championshp Match
- Divas’ Championship Match
Things are shaping up to make WrestleMania 31 pretty great, and it’s looking like a decent card at this time. It will be interesting to see what kind of shape The Undertaker is in and if he will put Wyatt over or not. Only time will tell.
