Katherine Heigl Really Wants Back on Grey’s Anatomy [Video]

Katherine Heigl has come out and said it, yes she said it, she is really really sorry she left Grey’s Anatomy. She is so upset about it she doesn’t even watch the show anymore.

Heigl told TVLine.

“It just makes me sad… I feel like I’m missing the party. I live about five minutes from the studios, so I have to physically hold myself [back] from just popping in and being like, ‘Hey guys — whatcha doin’?”

Heigl left her role as Dr. Izzie Stevens on “Grey’s Anatomy” after five seasons in 2010 to focus on her movie career. Now, it’s seemingly all the actress can talk about.

“I really, really, really want to see where [Izzie] is. I just want to know what happened to her and where she went and what she’s doing now.”

Supposedly she has already reached out to the writers of the show and let them know she wants to get back involved.

After spilling her guts about wanting to return to Seattle Grace she again brought it up on the View.

“I always felt that if they wanted me to come back and sort of wrap up that storyline. I want them to know that I’m down with it if they want me to, but I completely understand if it doesn’t necessarily work.”

Although Heigl has yet to be approached by the “Grey’s” writers she’s not giving up hope just yet.

“You never know,” teased Heigl.
