WWE News: WWE Hall Of Famer Wants Vince McMahon To Give Him A Final Match At ‘WrestleMania’
Hulk Hogan made his return to WWE last year, but he did it on a bit of an ambassador level. Sting is likely going to make his WWE in-ring debut at WrestleMania 31 after meeting face-to-face with Triple H at Fastlane this Sunday. Now, WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts wants one final match, he wants it at WrestleMania, and he’s prepared to talk to Vince McMahon about it.
Roberts actually did an interview with Nerd Repository to discuss his addiction, his recovery, his work with Diamond Dallas Page in DDP Yoga, and much more. It may not have been expected that he wanted to have another match, but he is ready for one.
When asked about a possible return to the ring, the 59-year-old actually said he isn’t yet ready to hang up his boots or put down the snake bag.
“I hope so. I’m going to talk to Vince McMahon [about it] at WrestleMania. I would like my last match, forever, to be at WrestleMania next year in Dallas, Texas. I would love to be on that show. I want to go out and give it my best, and I would be in much better shape than I probably was at the end of my career.”
WrestleMania 32 is going to take place from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, next year on April 3. Jake “The Snake” Roberts is already in good shape and this would give him a full year to be ready for one more match.
If by some chance, Roberts does get one more match in WWE, he already has one particular opponent in mind, per WrestleZone.
“I’d like it to be a situation where it would help him. I can think of a thousand scenarios…ideally, it would be something with Bray Wyatt…[but] he doesn’t need Jake Roberts. So it’s gotta be somebody that’s on the way up, that needs a little extra ‘oomph’ like Steve Austin did. And we’ll see if I can’t help them out.
“Maybe it could be a situation where the winner must use the DDT, and from that point on, they’re the master of the DDT. How about that?”
Should Jake “The Snake” Roberts actually get his wish and Vince McMahon grants him one final match at nexty year’s WrestleMania, then Bray Wyatt is in for a fight. It would also mean that Wyatt would battle two WWE legends in a row at WrestleMania since he’s still rumored to face The Undertaker this year.
It’s very possible that Jake “The Snake” Roberts may get his one more match at WrestleMania, but that will ultimately be up to Vince McMahon and Triple H.
