Jana Duggar And Tim Tebow Dating? One Duggar Family Member Hopes They Will
Jana Duggar and Tim Tebow may not be an item, but at least one Duggar family member would like to play matchmaker for the pair.
For months, there have been rumors connecting the oldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and the SEC analyst, and now one Duggar family husband is speaking up to support the idea.
Ben Seewald, who is married to 22-year-old Jessa Duggar, recently voiced his support for Tim Tebow and Jana Duggar hooking up.
“He’d be a great addition to the family,” joked Ben Seewald.
“I’d definitely have him on my team,” he added. “We’d win every time.”
The rumors that Jana Duggar and Tim Tebow were dating started last year, after Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar met with Tim’s mother. The Duggar parents ran into Pam Tebow at a Loving Choices Pregnancy Centers fundraiser in Arkansas, and apparently hit it off.
“A great lady and a great cause!” the Duggars wrote on Facebook. “We enjoyed hearing Pam Tebow share tonight.”
Pam later paid a visit to the Duggar household in Arkansas, Radar Online reported. This led to reports that Jim Bob and Michelle may have been trying to set up Tim and Jana.
The pairing seemed to make sense. Both the Tebows and the Duggars are conservative in their views and strong in their faiths, and both share strict ideas on dating. The Duggar family members have very rigid dating rules, including chaperoned dates and no hugging until they are engaged. Tim shares his own strict views, famously waiting to have sex until marriage.
The idea of a Tim Tebow and Jana Duggar pairing was a hit online, with fans sharing hopes that they might get together. E! Online even came up with a list of the “5 Reasons We Pray They’re Dating!”
But the idea had its problems as well. Tim Tebow is busy with his work at the SEC Network and as a special correspondent for Good Morning America, in addition to many weekly radio appearances during the college football season.
Jana Duggar is also famously picky about who she dates.
“Jana has been pursued by several guys,” a family insider told Radar Online. “She has never gotten to the courting phase with anyone, but she has spoken with interested men after church.”
There could be an even bigger problem with the idea of Jana Duggar and Tim Tebow dating — family members say they have never even met.
