A preview for the Victoria’s Secret Swim Special is now available for our viewing pleasure thanks to CBS. The network has released highlights of the VS production which will air in a few short days that includes the supermodels Lily Aldridge and Alessandra Ambrosio posing dramatically against the backdrop of the naturally beauty in Puerto Rico, where the special was shot.
As Elle communicates, the Victoria Secret Special features “ocean, palm trees, models in bikinis, and other relics of summer that seem so far removed from those of us suffering” in icy climates and the publication makes quite the accurate comparison stating that “the teaser is basically the opening of The Hills set to slightly more dramatic, vaguely Survivor-esque music.”

The swimwear launch is big news for the Victoria’s Secret brand – and fans are very excited by the televised special that will air February 26.
Models seen in the full version are Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo, Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrosio and Joan Smalls. Prinsloo’s hubby, Adam Levine, will be performing on the special with his band Maroon 5 and will likely be the perfect vocal complement to the sexy and exotic scenes within the Victoria’s Secret production.
The specific locations for the shoot were the islands of Vieques and Palomino and the budget of the special is reported to have been $2 million, according to Puerto Rico’s economic and trade development department secretary, Alberto Baco.
Baco told Fox News Latino of the benefits such a production brings to Puerto Rico.
“This is a unique international marketing opportunity for Puerto Rico, both to promote ourselves as a tourist destination as well as to do business and big productions with international scope.”
After getting a glimpse of the teaser it is clear to see why Puerto Rico was the country selected for the production by VS and viewers from all over the globe will be able to admire the aerial views of the beautiful setting as well as the incredible swim wear designs by Victoria’s Secret.
As Glamour UK relays, “The Victoria’s Secret Swimwear Special will be broadcast in more than 190 countries, reaching some 120 million television viewers. You’ll be able to watch it live on the VS website.” The special follows the angels as they shoot this year’s Victoria’s Secret swim catalogue and is the first special produced for the purpose of promoting the swim line.
The Victoria’s Secret Swim Special is not to be missed, even if the purpose of watching is just to mentally escape the frigid temperatures for a moment and swoon over some sexy new swim designs or the beauties wearing them.
