The amount of rumors and spoilers floating around for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens are enough to make five more movies. What percentage of all of them is true is something that remains to be seen, but some seem more serious than others. The latest rumor is one that could seriously alter the way fans look at the entire Star Wars franchise if a major character ends up dying.
Please note that there are possible Star Wars spoilers ahead, so read on only at your own risk. They are to be considered rumors at this point, but still, you may not want to read any more.
Making Star Wars is reporting that a major character in the Star Wars franchise could end up facing death in the new film due out later this year. What character is that?
Well, read on to possibly be spoiled. Jason at Making Star Wars insists that this rumored spoiler is “very accurate” and details scenes filmed at Pinewood. He states the following rumor came from a source that has been documented accurate hundreds of times.
The facts are this was shot at Pinewood:
- This sequence takes place on the ramparts of The Evil Castle.
- Han Solo is hiding.
- He decides to reveal himself to Kylo Renn.
- Finn, Rey, Chewbacca and BB-8 stop in their tracks.
- They watch as Han Solo confronts Kylo Ren. Kylo Rnn silences the conversation forever.
- Chewbacca lets out of a barrage of angry roars and laser blasts.
- Kylo Ren flees the scene.
- Explosions.
- Stormtroopers file in and Finn and Rey are forced to flee.
- More explosions.
- BB-8 and Chewbacca flee to the Falcon.
Han Solo is never in a scene after this. Those are the facts.
If this ends up being true and appears to be very familiar to Star Wars fans, then you aren’t wrong. Star Wars Underworld knows that this possible scene is very similar to the way that Obi-Wan Kenobi died in Episode IV , and that was hard enough to take.
Could that scene in the teaser trailer show Kylo Ren fleeing from the scene right after murdering Han Solo?
It’s been said that documentation has been seen that the scenes above were indeed filmed exactly as stated and they will happen. Of course, a lot could change in the next 10 months, too.
Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens stars just about everyone imaginable and it is set to open in theaters on December 18, just in time for the holiday season. The rumors and spoilers may not be confirmed as of yet, but the death of Han Solo won’t be any sort of Christmas present.
