The rumors about Seal and Heidi Klum getting a divorce are true. The celebrity couple announced today that they will be ending their 7 year relationship.
Seal and Heidi Klum released a joint statement, saying:
“While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”
The Associated Press reports that Seal and Klum were married in 2005 and have three children together. Klum also has a daughter, Leni, 7, from a previous relationship. Seal legally adopted Leni in 2009.
Seal and Klum join a long line of celebrities who have recently split up. Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore , Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries , Kenny G and Lyndie Benson Gorelick , Kobe and Vanessa Bryant , and Katy Perry and Russel Brand have all split up recently.
