Zimbabwe Vs. United Arab Emirates Cricket Streaming Live Online: Watch The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup Match
Match 8 of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup will pit Zimbabwe against United Arab Emirates (UAE), and it promises to be a great match-up on the pitch. Both teams are looking to bounce back from opening tournament losses, and someone needs to come out ahead.
On Thursday, United Arab Emirates lost to Afghanistan by 14 runs in a close match. It was one that could have gone either way, but UAE just couldn’t hold on at the end and Afghanistan was able to push ahead for the victory.
As for Zimbabwe, they are coming off of a crushing loss to South Africa by 62 runs on Saturday, according to ESPN Cric Info.
In the final overs is when Zimbabwe ended up losing it, thanks to their bowlers. They did offer up a big test for South Africa, but simply weren’t able to push through at the end and pick up their first win.
AB de Villiers of South Africa praised Zimbabwe in their defeat.
“The toss definitely played a big part in them getting ahead early on in the game,” de Villiers said. “It was difficult to bat in the first 15 overs. It was slow and sticky, very Zimbabwe-like conditions and difficult to hit through the line. Zimbabwe don’t have a lot of pace in their attack and they are very clever in the way they use the bowlers.”
Both teams need a win so that they can move out of the cellar in Pool B. South Africa, India, and Pakistan look to lead the way, but both Zimbabwe and UAE could end up being surprising competitors.
At this time, UAE is ranked 14th out of the 14 teams in the ICC Cricket World Cup, but surprises can always happen.
Zimbabwe and United Arab Emirates are set to begin their match at 11:00 local time and 22:00 GMT on Thursday, February 19 at the Saxton Oval Nelson, New Zealand.
