Louis Tomlinson Did Not Say: ‘I’m Gay, It’s Pretty Unfortunate’
Louis Tomlinson reportedly said, “I’m gay, it’s pretty unfortunate” in a Vine video that was leaked by a One Direction fan. The video surfaced Saturday night of the singer, who is currently in Australia with the band for the On the Road Again tour, according to Pink News. Louis appeared intoxicated and made a public declaration about his sexuality on his way back to his hotel room after a wild night out.
Tomlinson’s drunken rant was first reported on the Inquisitr. The report said that after Tomlinson announced his sexuality, his security guard told him to “be quiet.” Tomlinson’s rumored girlfriend Eleanor Calder was also by his side during the time of the incident.
The Vine video sent One Direction fans into overdrive on Twitter. The hashtags #ImGayItsPrettyUnfortunate and #LouisWeLoveYouNoMatterWhat on the social networking site. The fans who were at the hotel explained that Tomlinson was talking to a girl who had the same birthday as him, which is December 24.
A fan wrote, “Someone had said they have the same birthday as Louis, and he said ‘it’s pretty unfortunate’… not anything else, stop making up s**t.”
The fan who uploaded the Vine, Tyla, also quashed the rumors saying, “I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT LOUIS DID NOT SAY IT WAS ‘UNFORTUNATE FOR HIM TO BE GAY’ THEY HAD THE SAME Bday & ITS UNFORTUNATE! I WAS THERE.”
Tyla went onto say, “I feel like if I heard Louis say ‘I’m gay’ I would of reacted like everyone else is now but I heard with my own ears he did not say that.”
Tyla went on to complain, “I hate it how people that are in a different country are telling us what happened when I was the one that videoed it! Stop you weren’t there. The vine you have seen was videoed by me! I was there and everyone needs to stop changing the truth. HE DIDNT SAY IT AND THATS IT!”
Tomlinson has vehemently denied rumors about his sexuality in the past. The One Direction bandmate was seen swearing at a reporter in November who questioned if he wore a rainbow Apple T-shirt to support gay Apple CEO Tim Cook.
Louis later tweeted, “The fact that you work for such a ‘credible’ paper and you would talk such rubbish is laughable. I am in fact straight. Google ‘original apple logo’ and you will see the one printed on my shirt that you reported on. Trying to look for a promotion? F***ing ridiculous I even have to tweet that shit!”
The constant speculation about Tomlinson’s sexuality has made both hashtags a trending topic on Twitter in the United States and worldwide, according to Gossip Cop.
