Bryce Dallas Howard Gives Birth To Healthy Baby Girl

The Help star Bryce Dallas Howard and husband Seth Gabel have officially announced the birth of their child, a baby girl named Beatrice Jean Howard-Gabel.

News of the birth was tweeted by Bryce’s father, movie director Ron Howard:

“Beatrice Jean Howard-Gabel Born Jan 19 2012 8lbs 6oz Bryce & Baby B are spectacular Daddy Seth & brother Theo are beaming ear to ear ? “

Back in August Bryce told Jay Leno that her 4½-year-old son had predicted a girl however she found out the sex of the baby in September and kept it a secret until her dad spilled the beans immediately after the baby’s birth.

You may recall that in 2007 Bryce Dallas Howard opened up about the postpartum depression she felt after giving birth to Theo in 2007.

Among her congratulatory tweets were M. Night Shyamalan and Jennifer Connelly. .

In his message to Bryce M. Night tweeted:

“Ron, tell Bryce congratulations from our whole family. I’ll be waiting to cast Beatrice in a few years! ? “

Mom and baby are said to be doing great with no complications.
