Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Cousin Jerod Brown Speaks Out About Nick Gordon

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s current state is still a mystery. However, one thing is clear: Bobbi’s father, Bobby Brown, is tired of “unauthorized” family members speaking out the situation. His statement, released on Friday, Feb. 13, made his sentiments quite clear. As previously reported on Inquisitr, Bobby slammed his family for fueling the rumors with alleged updates about Bobbi Kristina’s condition and the criminal investigation that has been launched.

In a statement released to the media, representatives for Bobby Brown decried the growing media circus surrounding his daughter’s condition. Brown took issue with the increasing number of reports about Bobbi Kristina’s status, with a focus on the celebrity media’s eagerness to grab onto any report, no matter what the source.

“[We ask that the media] cease speaking with unauthorized members of the family. The integrity of the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina must remain uncompromised. Various members of the family have provided media interviews, but none of them are approved visitors to see Bobbi Kristina. None of them have firsthand knowledge of Bobbi Kristina’s treatment, and the medical staff at Emory University Hospital has not communicated with them.”

Brown also specifically stated that his nephew, Jerod, “must be disregarded.”

“In particularly, Jerod Brown aka Jerod Carter aka YF Kennedy, continues to make statements and appear on television, however, he has not had any communication with Bobby Brown or the Houston family.”

Reportedly, that didn’t stop Jerod Brown from continuing to talk to the media; he briefly touched on certain aspects about Bobbi Kristina’s situation. He also revealed that he is actually in contact with Bobbi’s estranged boyfriend, Nick Gordon, according to NewsDay.

“I’m in contact with Nick… Nick is feeling very emotional right now behind all of this. He’s pretty torn about what’s going on… We sit down and talk about things he wants my family to know and what he would love for Krissy to know, and that is that he loves her and is just waiting for her to wake up.”

Jerod also took to Facebook with a post in reference to Bobby Brown’s statement. He’s garnered lots of attention over the past week. However, all of the attention hasn’t been positive feedback. On Friday, Feb. 13 he posted an announcement on Facebook about planning a “meet and greet” to connect with fans and supporters of Bobbi Kristina.

“Thinking about doing a meet and greet with the fans here in Atlanta. If you have any gifts, balloons, flowers, letters, etc. you would love to give Bobbi Kristina, no worries I will be giving out a time/date/and location soon. ?#?StillPrayForBK?“

Many Facebook users accused him of using Bobbi Kristina’s condition to capitalize and make a name for himself. Here’s what one Facebook user had to say:

“Hold up….come on man. I was a fan and follower but I’m wondering about you now. I’m cool with you spreading the word for prayer for BK. But now you talking a “meet and greet” on ALL your different pages….didn’t your uncle Bobby ask you NOT to do this? Didn’t he make a statement; through his lawyers saying you have not spoken with him, or anyone close to BK and you have not and do not have access to see BK therefor nothing you gather or collect will get to her? Didn’t he ask for privacy and respect? Yet you interviewed and said you talked to Nick and BB asked you NOT to do this because there is an investigation going on??? Ok…I hate to be negative nancy here but it really seems like you are using this as platform for your own good!! And that is SAD!! NO one in the Houston family is doing interviews or all up on social media!! Neither is BOBBY!! Respect your uncles wishes please!!”

So, he decided to respond to the allegations.

“HOW ABOUT YOU ALL REACH OUT TO EVERY STATION I EVER DID AN INTERVIEW WITH AND ASK HOW MUCH I GOT FOR ANY INTERVIEW! $000.000…My reward is seeing Bobbi Kristina walk out of that hospital. Thanks for those who continue to pray for Kristina. I LOVE YOU COUSIN.”
