Chuck Norris Knights Newt Gingrich the Next POTUS
The race for the presidency might as well end now… Chuck Norris, occasional kung-fu master and full time internet meme, has just endorsed Newt Gingrich.
Norris wrote a column for the conservative World Net Daily today, saying:
“We believe Newt’s experience, leadership, knowledge, wisdom, faith and even humility to learn from his failures (personal and public) can return America to her glory days… He is the best man left on the battlefield who is able to outwit, outplay and outlast Obama and his campaign machine.”
Gingrich’s history with cheating on his wives has become a topic of debate. Last night he condemned John King for opening the debate with a personal attack, saying:
“I am appalled that you would begin a presidential debate on a topic like that… To take an ex-wife and make it, two days before the primary, a significant question in a presidential campaign, is as close to despicable as anything I can imagine.”
Norris seems to agree that Gingrich’s past mistakes shouldn’t stop him from being president. Norris writes:
“No man or candidate is perfect. We all have skeletons in our closet. If buried bones became unforgivable bones of contention, the world would never know or will never know another Benjamin Franklin, King David and others like them… We must remember that we’re electing a president, not a pastor or pope.”
So is the next King David happy with Chuck Norris’ endorsement? Newt Gingrich wrote on Twitter:
“Honored to have Chuck Norris’ endorsement. He’ll make an excellent Secretary of Attack.”
Gingrich also gained Rick Perry’s endorsement this week.
Do you think Chuck Norris’ endorsement will help Newt Gingrich? Do you think Newt’s past affairs will haunt his campaign?
