Louis Tomlinson Drunken Rant: ‘I’m Gay, It’s Pretty Unfortunate’
Louis Tomlinson went on a drunken rant on Saturday night, where he was heard saying, “I’m gay, it’s pretty unfortunate.” Security was also heard telling him to “be quiet.” The fan-captured video was released on Vine, a video sharing service. The One Direction fan, known as Tyla, captured other clips of Louis and his bandmate Liam Payne in a hotel lobby in Australia where the band is reportedly on tour, according to the Metro.
The One Direction fan captioned the video: “JUST MET LOUIS AND LIAM DRUNK WTF.” It sounds like Tomlinson’s drunken rant should be taken lightly. Still, it has One Direction fans questioning Tomlinson’s sexuality, once again.
Louis has yet to acknowledge the video. It could be that he doesn’t remember his drunken night out. His One Direction fanbase was quick to use the hashtags #WeLoveYouLouisNoMatterWhat and #ImGayItsPrettyUnfortunate on Saturday night. The hashtags were still trending on Twitter the following morning.

It sounds like One Direction fans are supportive of Tomlinson’s sexuality, no matter what. According to Yahoo! Celebrity, Tomlinson and Payne spent Valentine’s Day getting intoxicated in Australia. Their security tried their best to keep them away from fans. Security even sent Tomlinson and Payne up to their hotel rooms with a sick bucket, just in case.
Another Vine video shows the boys entering the hotel. Liam appears to be so intoxicated that he needs help from security to stand up straight. The 21-year-old then proceeds to hug Louis as they were ushered to the elevators, making a “small conga line with fans” before they entered.
But it was the Vine video that showed 23-year-old Tomlinson exclaim to his girlfriend, “I’m gay, it’s pretty unfortunate, isn’t it Eleanor?” Eleanor Calder is the name of his apparent girlfriend, according to Yahoo! Celebrity. Calder didn’t respond to Tomlinson’s declaration in the video.
Although there has been some doubt about what Louis has said, and the context that it was said in, there has been rumors surrounding him and his bandmate, Harry Styles’, sexuality for years within the One Direction fandom.
The Inquisitr recently reported that Louis Tomlinson spilled the “dirt” of what fans can expect to happen on the tour bus. Sadly for Tomlinson fans, it’s pretty tame. The report said that Tomlinson and his bandmates are hardly raucous while on the tour bus. They like to drink tea, watch movies, and play video games. That just adds more fuel to the fire with the gay speculations.
