‘Bachelor’ Chris Soules Rejects Britt On Group Date, Her Jealous Fit Is Must-See TV [Video]
Britt Nilsson has been Bachelor Chris Soules’ frontrunner for weeks, but that’s about to change on Episode 7. Her jealousy and lies finally force Chris to walk away from the girl he hasn’t been able to keep his hands off of all season. [Spoilers and two sneak peek videos below]
On night one (February 15) of this week’s two-night Bachelor event, six remaining girls head to Chris’ hometown of Arlington, Iowa, and Britt seems to take over for Kelsey Poe when it comes to stirring up drama. Expect to see Britt’s makeup run down her face on Sunday night’s episode — she sheds lots of tears (real or fake?) when Chris starts to have second thoughts about her.
Reality Steve states that there are three one-on-one dates and one group date on Sunday night. Roses are extremely important on these dates because it’s the last episode before hometowns. Jade, Whitney, and Becca all luck out and get one-on-one dates in Arlington. Britt, Carly, and Kaitlyn end up on a group date at a hockey rink — that’s when things go downhill for Britt. It all ends with Britt leaving the show, but how it all unfolds is must-see TV.
According to ET, Carly Waddell takes Chris aside during the group date to let him know Britt is lying about wanting to live in the tiny town of Arlington. She warns Chris that Britt is being fake and that she has no interest in becoming the farmer’s wife.
In an ITM filmed after his conversation with Carly, Chris states that he’d be “crushed” if Britt isn’t there for the right reasons. Fortunately, he finds that out before the end of the episode.
In the Week 7 preview below, fans will see Britt snap at Chris when he gives the group date rose to Kaitlyn. She makes it clear that she should have gotten the rose, telling him “I’m just confused and really, really hurt…. I don’t want my husband to see me as second, third, forth down the line… I kinda feel like you’re like ‘If you wanna leave, leave.'”
It’s obvious that Chris doesn’t enjoy being around dramatic women — he tells Britt that he felt giving Kaitlyn the group date rose was the right thing to do.
“I did what I felt was right tonight. Maybe you don’t want to be here anymore. I don’t know what else to say. Goodnight.”
Chris leaves and Britt is immediately called out for making Kaitlyn feel uncomfortable for getting the group date rose. In an ITM, Carly is ecstatic that Britt showed her jealous side to Chris, telling producers, “Chris saw Britt’s true colors… it was so much better of an explosion that I could have possibly expected.”
Spoilers indicate Britt reportedly leaves the show after feeling rejected by Chris. There is speculation that she wasn’t there for the right reasons to begin with and aspires to become the next Bachelorette. Read what host Chris Harrison has to say about that here.
Chill the wine and get the popcorn ready. Two nights of Bachelor drama start with the Chris Tells All special featuring Chris Soules, Kelsey Poe, and former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday night, followed by Epsiode 7 at 9 p.m. ET. On night two (February 16), four remaining girls will go on hometown dates with Chris and he will narrow it down to his final three picks.
