The Wait Is Over? Floyd Mayweather And Manny Pacquiao To Have $250 Million Fight
Is the wait over? Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Manny Pacquiao will reportedly face off in Las Vegas, Nevada at some point in the near future. The fight has been heavily speculated for some time, and boxing fans have been eager to see these two men in the ring.
There have been a combination of factors allegedly plaguing the deal, making it seem virtually impossible for Floyd and Manny to face each other.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there was concern that Showtime may be a factor keeping the fight from happening.
However, the president of Showtime denied being the reason for stalling the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight.
Doubters also blamed Floyd Mayweather himself for running away from the possibility of facing Manny Pacquiao.

There were claims that the undefeated 37-year-old was worried that possibly losing to Pacquiao would damage his legacy. But that no longer seems to be the case as Floyd is allegedly ready to touch gloves with Manny, who is a year younger at 36.
It’s important to remember that age is always a factor in sports, especially boxing.
While one would not call either Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao “over the hill,” there is reason to worry that a fight like this at this stage of their careers could put one or both men on the threshold of permanent retirement.
If it’s true that a fight has been agreed to, then it will certainly be necessary to make such a risk worth their while.
This is why it’s no surprise that this much speculated and hyped meeting will reportedly be worth $250 million.
This means that no matter who loses out of Floyd and Manny, their brand will have gained a considerable amount of additional wealth.
As for the date of the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, the Telegraph reports previous comments strongly hint that it will happen on May 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Mayweather has reportedly featured at the MGM Grand for all ten of his previous fights. Meanwhile, the Telegraph says Pacquiao has had five of his last seven fights there.
Although multiple reputable news sources are reporting that it may be a done deal, it’s important to note that as of now, there does not appear to be ANY official word emerging from either Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao.

However, this information is oddly specific, making it possible that a final confirmation one way or another may be on the way.
Do you believe this fight is finally happening and that the wait is over? Or will the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao fight remain a permanently unfulfilled wish of boxing fans?
