Madonna On ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’: ‘It’s Not Very Sexy’

Madonna has described the hotly controversial film Fifty Shades Of Grey as “not very sexy.” In an interview with Billboard , The Queen of Pop blasted the film as one made for “someone who has never had sex before.”

“I kept waiting for something exciting and crazy to happen in that red room thing, and I was like, ‘Hmm, a lot of spanking.’ I also thought, ‘This is so unrealistic because no guy goes down on a girl that much.’ I’m sorry, but no one eats p**** as much as the guy in that book.”

Madonna isn’t the only one describing Fifty Shades Of Grey as dull and boring. Film critics from all around the world agreed that the one of the year’s most anticipated film failed to deliver.

Christopher Orr of the Atlantic said , “While Taylor-Johnson’s adaptation may not be as unpleasant or offensive as it could have been, it is stunningly, mind-glazingly dull. This is a two-hour film containing maybe half an hour’s worth of anything actually happening”.

Claudia Puig of USA Today said , “[S]itting through the turgid and tedious S&M melodrama that is ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ may feel like its own form of torture. Those looking for hot, kinky sex will be disappointed”.

Peter Travers of Rolling Stone said Fifty Shades Of Grey was “about as erotic as an ad for Pottery Barn.”

But perhaps the funniest and harshest of the lot was Peter Bradshaw’s review for the Guardian .

“30 minutes into Fifty Shades of Grey I realised what the real inspiration for the film is: Victoria Wood’s famously dark and disturbing song about the transgressive ecstasy of turning off Gardener’s Question Time in expectation of being bent over your hostess trolley, and beaten on the bottom with a Woman’s Weekly.”

Meanwhile, Madonna gained plaudits for her provocative performance at the Grammys on Sunday night. Her isolated vocals at the event have been receiving rave reviews. Madonna also made headlines for the skimpy outfit she wore on the red carpet. She was accompanied by DJ Diplo and rapper Nas as she entered the awards show.

Madonna’s outfit was custom-made by Givenchy. It featured a black bullfighter-inspired bodysuit paired with fishnets and black leather over-the-knee boots with wedge heels.
