Kanye West Explains Why North West Was Crying At Fashion Week As He Rolled Out Yeezy Shoes [Video]

North West isn’t even two years old yet, so crying and having a tantrum often isn’t seen as a big deal by doting parents like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. When she decided to have her mini-me meltdown at New York Fashion Week in front of celebrities while Kanye showed off his new shoe line, however, it wasn’t exactly well-received, reported the Daily Mail.

Particularly unimpressed was Vogue editor Anna Wintour, legendary for her elite views on what’s chic and what’s outre. As Anna scowled, Kim attempted to soothe little North.

Others seated in the front row at the ultra-fashionable event included Beyonce and Jay Z, both of whom had come out to offer support to Kanye’s debut of his collaboration with Adidas. However, despite Kim’s best mothering moments, little Nori, as she’s known, continued to wail.

But Kanye West explained why his little girl was crying, reported New York magazine.

“Maybe she was just scared for her daddy. She just wanted people to stop being mean to her daddy. Because she knows that her daddy loves the world and just wants to make it a more beautiful place.”

However, Anna wasn’t the only one who showed her displeasure at the 18-month-old’s tantrum. As the first whimpers began, an Elle magazine editor began her own whimpers of displeasure, reported the New York Daily News.

“Couldn’t they leave it backstage?” demanded Anne Slowey, referring to the little girl.

She also voiced her feelings about Kanye’s debut with Adidas.

“Typical. Typical celebrity c**p. Like I really even care.”

But doting grandmother Kris Jenner thought it was funny, posting a photo on Instagram with a caption.

Others showing their support for Kanye and seated in the front row were Rihanna, Kendall Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, and Russell Simmons.

And although Kim finally did exit to leave the baby backstage (presumably with someone rather than in a dressing room alone), she returned in time to demonstrate her own support with a standing ovation. As Kanye bowed to the applauding crowd, he put a hand over his heart as he exchanged loving glances with his wife.

Do the two want a second baby? As the Inquisitr reported, Kanye and Kim have both been candid about their desire to expand their family.

“Kanye would have already been trying for another [immediately],” said an insider. “But Kim just wanted to get back to feeling like herself again first.”

As part of her desire to feel like herself, Kardashian has been dieting to restore her pre-baby body, and been candid about her weight loss battles on social media. She told a fan via Twitter that she was using the high fat low carb Atkins diet.
