Pierce Brosnan lives in the Malibu home with his wife Keely Shaye Smith. Brosnan and Smith have two children together and were married in 2001. Brosnan has three children from his previous marriage to Cassandra Harris. That marriage ended with Harris’ death in 1991.
The actor, 61, is best known for his tenure as James Bond in the films Die Another Day, The World Is Not Enough and Golden Eye.
The Daily Mail posted a video of Brosnan talking to police outside his home. The video shows several officers and at least one fire truck.
The New York Daily News reported on an alleged video of the blaze posted to YouTube, but emphasized the video’s authenticity was not confirmed. The paper noted that, ironically, Brosnan had just appeared in a Kia Super Bowl ad, during which a cabin explodes. The ad is a parody of Brosnan’s action-hero past.
Brosnan is set to co-star with Owen Wilson in an action movie called No Escape. The film was first slated for March 6 release but has been pushed back to this fall. The movie was originally called The Coup but test audiences did not know what the word meant. Wilson plays an American businessman who finds himself in the middle of a political uprising in Southeast Asia. The film is directed by John Erick Dowdle.
