‘Criminal Minds’ Spoilers: Kate Callahan’s Background Explored As Greg Grunberg Guests
A new episode of Criminal Minds airs on CBS Wednesday night and it looks like it’s going to feature a very intriguing case. In addition, viewers will learn a great deal more about Agent Kate Callahan in this one, as they get to see her husband, Chris, and a bit of her home life. What Criminal Minds spoilers are available for this one?
The February 11 episode is titled “Scream.” The Behavioral Analysis Unit will be working on a case in California where they come to believe that the suspect had witnessed abuse as a child. There are a string of victims who are abused children, and it seems the team thinks the suspect makes kids suffer so he can hear and record their screams. The team recently had to work on a case involving their former mentor, a tough task for Reid in particular. Now they’ve got a new challenge and children’s lives are at stake.
Agent Kate Callahan is still a relatively new member of the team, and viewers have been learning more about her bit-by-bit. It seems that in this episode, fans will get quite a bit more insight into Kate and her home life.
As fans know, Kate and her husband, Chris, are raising her niece Meg, because the 13-year-old’s parents were both killed in the 9/11 attacks. As a Criminal Minds spoiler sneak peek from Zap2It shows, Meg will want to dip her toe into dating, but her guardians may not be quite ready for it.
Meg will ask if she can go with some friends to the mall over the weekend, and this outing is a serious change for the family. The friends include two boys that neither Kate or Chris have met, and it seems the outing challenges the couple in their parenting styles.
Many people remember Grunberg for his roles on Felicity, Heroes, Lost, and Alias, and of course he worked with Callahan’s portrayer Jennifer Love Hewitt on The Client List as well. Will he pop up frequently in the role of Chris Callahan now that Kate’s story is getting plenty of focus? There’s no word on that yet, though many fans would surely love to see it happen.
Another Criminal Minds spoiler sneak peek shared via CBS shows Kate and J.J. talking about the mall outing, which feels to Callahan like a date. The two agents bond over parenting and how quickly kids grow up as they both reflect on wanting to protect their kids for forever.
Can the BAU stop bad guy Peter Folkmore, played by Brian Poth, before more children are harmed? Fans will find out on Wednesday, February 11, when the “Scream” episode of Criminal Minds airs on CBS.
