Kanye West Banned? Rapper Banished From Future Grammy Ceremonies
Some reports are saying that Kanye West has been banned from future Grammy Awards shows. Sources on the internet are reporting that the rapper and stage crasher and his wife, Kim Kardashian, have been forever banned from future Grammy ceremonies. However, Kanye is still eligible to win future Grammy awards.
West has become more famous for his infamous marriage and storming the stage whenever Beyoncé doesn’t win an award. The rapper first caused this type of controversy in 2009 when Taylor Swift was given the Video of The Year award for “You Belong With Me.” She won over Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” music video. West interrupted Swift’s speech to defend the performer.
“Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ma let you finish but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!”
Kanye did it again on Sunday night. This time, it was Beck that won Album of the Year instead of Beyonce. Kanye left the stage before he could interrupt Beck, but after the Grammys he made it clear that Beyonce should have won the award.
“We ain’t gonna play with them no more. And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should’ve given his award to Beyoncé. Because when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you’re disrespectful to inspiration. And we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day, and they listen to that Beyoncé album and they feel like it takes them to another place.”
After these two incidents, West and Kim Kardashian could be permanently banned from future Grammy Awards, according to Your Daily Scoop. This isn’t the only media site that has been circulating this rumor. CrunchSports also reported that William Hill said West is banned from attending next year’s ceremony. William Hill spokesperson Joe Crilly told Crunchsports.com why West and Kardashian shouldn’t be invited back.
“After [wife] Kim’s [Kardashian] latest photo shoot, we should be used to the bare cheek of showbiz’s most publicity hungry couple. It is quite possible that Kanye completes his hat trick of buffoonery at next year’s Grammys.”
Whether this rumor is true or not, it remains to be seen until next year. Some viewers would probably be delighted to hear that Kanye has been banned from future Grammy ceremonies. Even Kanye’s fans doesn’t think he has say on who wins awards and who is a true artist.
Kanye West remains pressed about the Grammys. According to a report on the Inquisitr, he told Ryan Seacrest during his KIIS FM radio show that the “voices in his head” told him to storm the stage. Kanye also added that his interruption was a “joke like the Grammys themselves.”
