‘Goodfellas’ Star Stopped Mafia Plot To Kill Michael Jackson
Frank DiLeo, cigar-smoking star of Goodfellas, claimed the Mafia was planning on killing Michael Jackson and that he prevented this. Sounding like something out of the plot of Goodfellas itself, this is the latest in many controversies surrounding the life and death of the “King of Pop” since his sudden demise back in 2009.
The Mirror noted Frank DiLeo was Jackson’s manager at the height of his career back in the 1980s. DiLeo passed away at the age of 63 in 2011 after complications with heart surgery.
Since his death, various accounts and film footage DiLeo had put together while working with Jackson have been compiled into a controversial, and some say outrageous, biography.
Compiled and written by DiLeo’s former business partner, Mark Lamica, the biography has the rather auspicious title, DiLeo: I Am Going To Set The Record Straight.

One of the stories included in the biography is that of a planned Mafia contract to kill Michael Jackson. DiLeo apparently not only uncovered the threat but managed to stop is from happening.
According to the Independent, In the book, Lamica uncovers the fact that DiLeo often spoke about Jackson’s changing appearance over the years. He said Michael had told DiLeo it was because he couldn’t bear to see his abusive father’s face looking back at him from the mirror, but that he told Michael to stop as he was becoming unrecognizable to fans.
“Michael told Frank in a phone call that he couldn’t bear to see his father’s [Joseph Jackson] face when he looked in the mirror.”
“Frank had told him he needed to stop changing his face, because he was becoming unrecognizable to his fans.”

According to Lamica the biography will also name and shame everyone, including family members, who took advantage of Jackson and his multimillion dollar fortune.

DiLeo played the role of Tuddy Cicero in Scorsese’s hit Goodfellas back in 1990. The trailer of that movie is included below.
The release date of the book has not yet been confirmed and reportedly a spokesperson for Michael Jackson’s estate declined to comment on the story.
