‘RHOA’ Star Phaedra Parks Admits She Is Keeping Sons From Apollo Nida
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks has been keeping a low profile over the past couple of months. She has been a single mother, working to provide for her two young sons. Apollo Nida turned himself in back in the fall of 2014 to serve eight years behind bars. Parks is now left with the turmoil of Apollo’s criminal actions.
Phaedra Parks has announced that she is filing for divorce, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want her children to grow up without a father. Phaedra wants her children to have a strong role model, but she isn’t sure that she wants her children to go visit Nida in jail. In fact, Parks hasn’t taken her sons to see their father, and he isn’t too happy with her.
According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks admits that she has been avoiding a jail visit to see her estranged husband with her sons, because she doesn’t want Dylan and Ayden to believe that it is acceptable to commit crimes and then go to jail.
“Because I haven’t made a decision on whether or the children will visit with Apollo, it’s making him act very erratic and angry, but at the end of the day, I don’t care how much Apollo kicks and screams or goes to the club — I will do what’s best for these children,” Phaedra Parks revealed on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, adding that Apollo had been “very threatening and angry.”
It has been about six months since Apollo turned himself in, and it is questionable whether Phaedra Parks has been to visit him, and whether her children have been to see him. One can imagine that Nida wants to see his children, but Parks has said that she will think about her sons’ needs prior to her estranged husband’s desires.
“It’s always been my desire to raise strong black men and I don’t ever want them to think that going to jail is acceptable,” Phaedra has revealed about not taking her sons to visit their father.
But keeping his sons away from him probably won’t help Phaedra in the long run. Prior to going to jail, he was acting erratic and scaring both Parks and her mother. According to the Inquisitr, Phaedra’s mother advised her to leave the city of Atlanta for a bit while he turned himself in. She didn’t want to find Phaedra and her children dead in the home, something she genuinely felt was a possibility at the time.
