Meghan Trainor Done? Grammy’s 2015 Experience & Twitter Say ‘No’
Meghan Trainor’s music is thought to be reminiscent of “bubblegum” music. Well, positively, it got her a trip to the Grammy’s 2015 Awards. She had plenty to say about the experiences.
Meghan, 21 and a Nantucket native, enjoyed her experiences so much that she’s been personally sharing her feelings with the world. Accordingly, to receive such an invitation and honor within a year’s time is eye-opening and exciting.
Though her music just came on the major scene in 2014, she’s been singing and writing since her pre-teen years. Similar to many largely known celebrities, she started early in life. Also, as can be seen, she’s starting her award experiences early as well.
On Trainor’s Instagram, she shares some of the night with a few celebrities, such as Ciara, Toni Braxton, and L.A. Reid.
Even in the photo, she seems “at home” among the notable names of music. As can be seen from Meghan’s comments and likes, it drew a lot of attention, some good and bad. Yet, she didn’t have to speak for herself. Defensively, her fans did it for her. One commentator, toward an offender, states as follows.
“… You know what I think?? I think you’re rude.. & maybe even jealous. Like Meghan says.. ‘Don’t worry about your size, boys like a little more booty to hold at night’.. & maybe you could listen to her song, ‘All About That Bass’, it might change your attitude.. but if not.. If you [have] nothing constructive to say, don’t say anything at all… [sic]”
Possibly, in the limelight, Trainor knows that “haters” will have their opinions just as much as supporters. She doesn’t seem to be bothered.
After performing with John Legend, it was another inspirational moment for Meghan when she got the chance to talk with Carole King, Grammy-award winning singer and songwriter. Enthusiastically, Trainor tweeted about it later.
Such an honor meeting the legend herself #CaroleKing still can’t believe she complimented my writing… http://t.co/s9vbvOmWYk

Likewise, via Meghan’s Twitter account, she makes a clear and humbling statement regarding her music to her fans.
“This is crazyyyyy!! Last year, I watched the Grammy’s from my couch, and today I’m nominated AND going to the show. I’m so excited.”
As far as company, Gary Trainor was her date to the award show. Interestingly enough, in a quick interview with Entertainment Tonight, Meghan says that her dad was, actually, the one who told her that “boys like more booty to hold at night,” not her mother as she proclaims in her song, “All About That Bass.” Seemingly, Trainor’s size is no issue for her. Accordingly, her confidence appears well-intact.
So, what do you think about Meghan Trainor’s music? How do you feel about Gary Trainor’s line, “Boys like more booty to hold at night”? Is this true?
