Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Family May Turn Off Life Support On Day Whitney Houston Died [Video]
As Bobbi Kristina Brown continues to lie in a hospital bed, unresponsive to the family and friends gathered around her, a difficult choice awaits them. And it’s similar to the one faced by Melissa Rivers when her mother, the beloved comedienne Joan Rivers, was on life support. But now, sources told Page Six, the family has made its decision to remove life support on the same day as Whitney Houston.
It as Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, who originated the concept of using Feb. 11 as the day to turn off the machines keeping her granddaughter alive. She envisions them together, and it helps her find peace, said the source.
Now, gathered together with Bobbi Kristina, the Brown family has agreed to bid a final farewell to the 21-year-old at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. The source said that her life support is scheduled to be removed at midnight, planned precisely to parallel the date that Whitney Houston died at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
In their grief, the Brown family finds hope that their decision can give Whitney and Bobbi Kristina the opportunity to be together for eternity.
What does the family know about her chances for recovery? Nothing has changed in her condition since she was placed in a medically induced coma after being found face down in a bathtub in her home on Jan. 31. And although the Houston families and Brown families have argued among themselves about various issues, they do now agree that her situation is beyond hope.
“This is the only thing they can agree on — that she’s gone [brain-dead], and there’s nothing more than can be done for her,” revealed the source.
Already making funeral arrangements is entertainment figure Tyler Perry, a close friend to Whitney. He also has helped the arguing family members stay calm.
“You wouldn’t think of him as being someone who’d be a peacemaker, but he’s someone both sides really respect,” said a Brown family source.
As the Inquisitr reported, Cissy Houston held out hope that she could reach her granddaughter through the power of music. A source revealed that she feels that if she can get Bobbi Kristina Brown to hear Whitney’s voice, a miracle could occur.
“Cissy is keeping her hands together and hoping for a miracle. She’s hoping something miraculous will happen — anything to wake Krissy up. She thinks the sound of Whitney’s voice will heal Bobbi Kristina.”
Among the songs that Cissy chose was “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength,” shown below.

The family held a candlelight vigil last night, seeking prayers for Bobbi Kristina Brown, reported Yahoo.
Friends gathered with the family, and the public was invited to join them at the Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center outside of Atlanta. Bobbi Kristina’s cousin Jerod Brown posted details on his Facebook page.
