‘Bachelor’ Week 7: Does Britt Leave Chris To Become The Next ‘Bachelorette’? [Spoilers]
Bachelor Chris Soules takes his remaining six girls to Des Moines, Iowa, on Week 7 (February 15), just one episode prior to the all-important hometown dates. By the end of the episode, two girls will go home, but one — Britt Nilsson — will leave on her own prior to the rose ceremony.
Britt has been a frontrunner all season and despite rumors that she doesn’t shower, Chris has really taken a liking to her. There is no doubt that Britt and Chris have chemistry, but host Chris Harrison tells TV Guide that he questions whether or not she is right for him.
“Obviously, you see they have chemistry and can’t take their hands off each other, but the question is if she’s in Chris’ blindside. Is she right for him or is she the girl everyone says, ‘No, don’t do this.”
Chances are, Britt would have made it to the final rose ceremony if she decided to stay, but Reality Steve states that she leaves the show on Episode 7, giving up a chance to become the farmer’s wife. There is speculation that Britt was offered the role of the next Bachelorette — that could explain why she went from head-over-heels in “like” with Chris to ditching him before the hometown dates.
Britt made out with Chris in his hotel room bed on Episode 5, then showed him an extreme amount of affection at the Big & Rich concert on Episode 6. One week later, she ends up leaving the show.
Pressure from producers is the only logical reason as to why Britt would just up and leave after showing so much interest in Chris. Or could it be that she faked her interest in hopes that she would become a fan favorite — something that often leads to an offer to become the franchise’s next leading lady. Remember Andi Dorfman‘s over-the-top exit on Juan Pablo’s season? Sounds like something similar is happening with Britt.

Reality Steve has stated for weeks that Britt is a frontrunner to become the next Bachelorette, but has become a bit skeptical about her chances since Episode 5 aired. If she does get the gig, Steve feels it will because she really wins fans over during the Women Tell All special (March 2).
“I’m starting to have my doubts about who from this season will get the gig. Monday didn’t help her [Britt’s] cause. But remember, she still has the WTA to win people over.”
Tune in to watch back-to-back episodes of the Bachelor on March 15 (Episode 7) and March 16 (Hometown Dates). Prior to the start of Episode 7, ABC will air a Chris Tells All special at 8 p.m. ET.
